When you suddenly can’t connect to the internet, several things could be wrong. Use this checklist below to find and solve common internet connection problems.
Are you overlooking the obvious?
Unplugged or loose network cables are easy to miss yet one of the most common reasons you might suddenly find yourself unable to connect to the Internet. That’s not a problem on wireless networks, but on most laptops the Wi-Fi radio can be inadvertently shut off instead. On home networks, it’s also possible someone unplugged the router.
Action – Ensure your wired or wireless network hardware is switched on and plugged in.
This can be quite complicated or quite simple. If you have checked all the connections and all seems okay, then the problem could be down to other causes such as:-
– system settings
– faulty operating system
– hardware connection failure
– physical service provider issues
– If you have recently upgraded your internet account or if you have switched your service provider, please contact them in the first instance.
